In our children’s formation we seek to boldly proclaim the Gospel and foster, in each child, an understanding and appreciation of how the Gospel is celebrated in the rich liturgical tradition of the Episcopal Church. We believe that a carefully prepared and contemplative worship environment can help children discover and explore the essential truths of our Christian faith. Our method of formation is dependent upon holy space and holy time where children can explore and deepen their understanding and love of Christ.

Diocesan Missioner for Youth and Young Adults
Eden's extensive experience and gifts in youth and young adult ministry and programming, faith formation, hospitality, mission development, and organizational management will be a blessing to not only our young people, but also folks of all ages throughout the diocese.
Eden comes to us from Kanuga Conference Center, where she has worked for the past eight years coordinating Kanuga-sponsored conferences, Guest Periods and Episcopal groups. During this time she has overseen the Junior and Senior Youth Conferences and Winterlight, which are geared specifically for middle and high school youth. She had the privilege to work closely with Providence IV leadership to coordinate a youth pilgrimage to the Holy Land, which was co-lead with the former Archbishop of Canterbury. Her role also involved the organization of adult conferences, such as Church Leadership, Christian Formation, and Nuevo Amanecer, as well as management of programming for Guest Periods. Over the past three years she has worked with Episcopal churches and organizations to plan events ranging from parish retreats to national events such as House of Bishops.
Prior to working at Kanuga, Eden was the Youth Director at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, a corporate-size parish in in Winston Salem, NC, where she oversaw middle, high school and college ministry. During her time at St. Paul's, she lead two international mission trips to Costa Rica and several regional mission trips. Eden also worked as the Youth Director at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Greensboro, NC where she was responsible for fifth grade through high school ministry.
A graduate of Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida, she holds a bachelor's degree in psychology with minors in youth ministry and religion. Eden and her wife Karen have been married for three years and have three dogs. In her leisure time, Eden enjoys hiking with her dogs, reading, skating, thrift store shopping, and guiltily binge-watching TV shows on Netflix.
